आज आपण अशा व्यक्तिविषयी जानुन घेणार आहोत त्यांने जगात असा रेकोर्ड बनवला आहे कि आपण त्याच्या बद्दल विचार सुधा करु शकत नाही, 438 दिवस म्हणजेच 14 महिने त्याने समुद्रात काढले त्याचें नाव सेल्वेडोर ॲल्वेरेंगा
                                  सेल्वेडोर ॲल्वेरेगा हा मेक्सिको मधे राहणार एक मासेमारिकर होता. त्याचा मासे पकडुन विकणे हा पेशा होता 17 नोव्हेंबर 2012 मधे ॲल्वेरेंगा व त्याचा मित्र खराब मोसम मधे मासे पकडायला गेले होते. त्यांना असे वाटले होते जर आपण 30 तास समुद्रात राहुन जर मासे पकडुन आणले तर आपला पुर्ण आठवड्याचा खर्च निघुन जाईल, म्हणुन तो आणि त्याचा मित्र  मासे पकडायला गेले. त्याचि बोट हि 7 मिटर लांब इतकी  होति व त्यांच्याकडे मासे ठेवण्यासाठि छोटा रेफ़्रिजरेटर होता  व मासे पकडण्याचे साहित्य होते.  ॲल्वेरेंगा व त्याच्या मित्राने पाणी मधे जाळे टाकुन मासे पकडु लागले.
                                            
       
                                          पण त्याच्यात मोसम एवढा खराब झाला कि ॲल्वेरेंगा व त्याचा मित्र परत किनाऱ्याकडे येवु लागले. समुद्रांत मोठयाने  वादळवारा येवु लागले, जहाज मोठ्या प्रमाणे हलायला लागले जहाज मधे (Balance)  संतुलन ठेवण्यासाठि त्यांनि पकडलेले सगळे मासे त्यांने पाण्यात फेकुन दिले, जहाज मध्ये भरपूर  पाणी साचल्यामुळे  त्यांनि त्याचे रेफ्रिजरेटर व मासे पकडण्याचे सर्व साहित्य पाण्यात फेकुन दिले.  व जहाज फुल वेगाने किनाराच्या दिशेने घेऊन जाऊ लागले तेवढ्या त्यांच्या बोट चे इंजिन खराब झाले व  किनारा हा त्याच्या पासुन हा 24 किलो मिटर इतका लांब होता. ते जोरदार हेवेच्या वेगाने परत विरुद्ध दिशेला समुद्राकडे जाऊ लागले त्यांना काय करावं ते सुचत नव्हतें  त्यांच्याकडे त्यांचा फक्त FM चालु होता ते FM च्या साहाय्याने आपल्या सहकार्यांशी  संपर्क साधु लागले. व त्याच्या सहकाऱ्यांशी  संपर्क झाला व काहि वेळाने FM ची बॅटरी सुद्धा संपुन FM बंद झाला. ॲल्वेरेंगाला व त्याच्या मित्राला शोधन्यासाठि अनेक जहाज पाण्यात सोडण्यात आली. पण ॲल्वेरेंगा व त्याचा मित्र हा कुठे हि भेटला नाहि दोन दिवसाने त्यांचा तपास करणेहि  सोडुन दिले.
                             
                      पाच दिवसात ॲल्वेरेंगा ची बोट हि किनारा पासुन 450 किलो मिटर लांब गेली, व  प्रशांत महासागराच्या मधोमध पोहचलि, तेथुन त्यांना शोधने हे  नामुनकिन होते. बघता बघता तीस दिवस निघुन गेले. ते आपले पोट भरण्यासाठि बोटिवर बसणारे पक्षी व पाण्यात हात घालुन हात लागेल त्या माशांचे कच्चे मांस खात असत. एगदा त्यांना पाणीमध्ये प्लास्टिक ची बोटल भेटली त्याच्या ने ते पावसाचे पाणि साठवुन पित असे जेव्हा पाऊस पडत नसेल तर तो आणि त्याचा मित्र हा कासवाचा रक्त पित होती ते पण मिळत नसल्याने ते आपले मलमुत्र स्वच्छ करुन पित होती. चार महिन्याने त्याच्या मित्राची तब्बेत खुप बिघडली त्यांनी खान पाणि सोडल दिले व  काहि दिवसाने त्याचा मित्र मरुन गेला. व त्याने त्याच्या मित्राची बोडि हि कपडे काडुन पाण्यात फेकली. ॲल्वेरेंगा आता एकटा पडला होता. त्यांनि आत्महत्या करायचे ठरवल पण तो स्वताचि समजुद घालुन व परिवाराचि आठवण काडुन स्वताला आत्महत्या करण्यापासुन सावरत होता. काहि दिवस गेल्या नंतर त्याला एक मोठे जहाज दिसले ॲल्वेरेंगा ने लगेच मदतिसाठि हात हलवायला लागला जहाज मधले माणसेसुधा हात हलवुन मदत न करता ॲल्वेरेंगा च्या समोरुन निघुन गेले होते. ॲल्वेरेंगा ला काहि सुचत नव्हते त्याला वाटू लागले कि तो एक भास होता. बघता बघता बारा महिने निघुन गेले.  तसेच तो आपले दिवस एक छोट्याशा जहाज मधे घालवत होता. तरी सुधा त्याला असे वाटत होते कि तिथे त्याला कोण तरी मदतीला येईल, ॲल्वेरेंगा हा  किनारा पासुन 8000 किमी लांब आला होता.
                           
                             काहि दिवसाने ॲल्वेरेंगाला पाण्यातुन नारळ पोहताना दिसले व बोट पुधे गेल्यावर त्याला पक्षी सुधा उडताना दिसायला लागले, हळुहळु त्याला एक बेट दिसु लागले. ॲल्वेरेंगा भरपुर खुश झाला त्याचि बोट हि बेटच्या बाजूच्या दिशेने जाऊ लागलि ॲल्वेरेंगा ने लगेच पाण्यात उडी मारली अल्वेरेंगा हा भरपूर अशक्त झाला होता  त्याच्याकडे पोहण्या इतकी सुधा ताकद नव्ह्ती तरी सुधा तो कसाबसा पोहत  त्या बेटाकडे गेला. ॲल्वेरेंगाने किति महिन्याने पहिल्यांदा जमिनिवर पाय ठेवला. ॲल्वेरेंगा हा 11000किमी लांब आला होता, व त्याला तिथे एक घर सुधा  दिसले ॲल्वेरेंगा लगेच त्या घराकडे गेला व तिथे त्याला माणसे दिसले त्या माणसांनि त्याचि मदत केली व नंतर 30 जानेवारी 2014 मधे मदत टिम येवुन ॲल्वेरेंगाला परत  त्याच्या घरि घेऊन आले. अशा प्रकारे ॲल्वेरेंगाने 438 दिवस हे पाण्यात काढुन वल्ड रेकोर्ड निर्माण केले. त्यांनी अशा प्रकारचा वल्ड रेकोर्ड पुर्ण केले त्याचा आपण विचार सुधा करु शकत नाहि आपण तिथे दोन दिवस सुधा काढले नसते पण ॲल्वेरेंगा कडे असलेल्या जिद्द व धेर्य मुळे त्यांनि त्या समुद्रात तेरा महिने काढले
                                           याच्यात आपल्याला हे शिकायला भेटते कि आपल्याकडे जर कायतरी करण्याची जिद्द व धेर्य असेल तर आपण कोणतिहि गोष्ट हासिल करु शकतो. हे आपण ॲल्वेरेंगाकडुन शिकले पाहिजे.
